Week 1 - Chapter 1 Digital Logic Fundamentals #4

What are some characteristics of combinatorial logic? How is the name derived? How big can a circuit(see figs.1-6 and 1-7 of Carpinelli) be? How small? How many inputs? How many outputs? Advantages? Disadvantages?

1)      Each function/gate has at least 2 inputs with the exception of the NOT function

2)      The name is derived from the use of many gates to make more complex equations

3)      An equation can consist of 1 to many functions/gates

4)      Each gate has 2 or more inputs except the NOT function which has 1

5)      Each gate has only one output
